If ever an institution started with the odds stacked against it, it was the Denmark School of Agriculture, which is now the W.A. College of Agriculture Denmark.

In 1942 the Army took over the Narrogin School of Agriculture to be used as a Convalescent Depot. The students were sent home and two months later forty four reassembled from all over the state in the newly chosen location of Denmark.
